Wavy-Leaved Aster

Symphyotrichum undulatum (formerly Aster undulatus)

Lavendar flowers are 1/2"-3/4" across; lower leaves are heart-shaped (cordate), with a rough surface and edges that undulate from the leaf plane.

1-3 feet, partial shade.

Late Summer-Autumn (August-October).

Heart-shaped, rough base leaf (wavy edges not noticeable in this case) with broad winged petiole (stalk) joining stem.
