Ellisea nyctelea

This annual appears in disturbed areas or shady wooded places where there is little competition. The white flowers, only 1/4 inch across, are inconspicuous becaue only a few bloom at a time, so the plant is more easily noticed from its deeply divideded leaves, which in the right situation can be quite lush. Stems and leaves are rather hairy. The flowers have five rounded petals, often with faint purple lines
