Wild Comfrey

Cynoglossum virginianum

Purple bells hang from stems that elongate as season progresses. Leaves are coarse, long, pointed, clasping stem. This plant is usually found farther south.

1-2 feet, partial sun.

Summer-Autumn (May-August).

At end of season, the blooming branch is covered with the spiky seed receptacles of earlier blossoms.
