Thin-leaved Coneflower
Rudbeckia triloba
This plant is bushy--with many branches and plentiful flowers. Flowers are small (1-1/2 inches across); most flowers have only 8 yellow petals surrounding a brown center disk. Stems are green or, often, red, and covered with white hairs. Upper leaves lance-shaped, lower leaves may divide into 3 pointed lobes, hence the Latin name.
2-5 feet, sun or partial shade.
Summer-Autumn (June-October).
