Swamp Milkweed

Asclepias incarnata

This milkweed is most readily distinguished from others by its leaves, which are narrow (seldom more than 1 inch wide, up to 8 inches long) and pointed.  The plant is also smooth overall. Flowers are sometimes quite a strong pink color.

2-4 feet, sun - partial sun. Moist or marshy ground.

Summer (July-August).
