Hibiscus militaris  (also known as Hibiscus laevis)

The showy flowers are pale pink with a darker claret center. The distinctive shape of the leaves is the key identifying factor; most leaves have three pointed lobes, with the central one longer, giving a haberd shape. A few leaves may have five lobes.


3-5 feet, sun. In or beside water.
