Storksbill   (Alfilaria)

Erodium cicutarium

The compound leaves of this low annual or biennial plant have pinnate leaflets, each of which is itself deeply divided into pointed, pinnate lobes. These leaves form a basal rosette up to a foot or more across. Flowering stems, usually without leaves, rise from the base.   Leaves, stems, and buds are noticeably hairy.  The flowers are pink, about 1/2 inch across, and have 5 petals with smooth edges.
