Beggar-Tick  (also known as Sticktight)

Bidens frondosa

Like a yellow disk flower with no rays, this blooms out to form heads of the familiar seeds that cling to clothing and animal fur. The green bracts of the flower extend beyond the disk.

1-4 feet, sun or partial shade.

Late Summer-Autumn (August-October).

The unpleasant seed heads.
