Iris versicolor

This iris has fairly broad leaves (1 inch) and blue-violet petals with a yellow patch near the beard and marked veining on the falls (which may guide insects to the nectar) .

2-3 feet, sun, semi-aquatic.

Late Spring-Summer (May-July).

Growing at water's edge or slightly underwater.
