Purple Coneflower

Echinacea purpurea

Distinguished by their purple reflexed petals and large, spiky, domed centers on hairy stems. Leaves near base are coarse, fairly broad (ovate), pointed at end, feather-veined, and edges usually have slight teeth.

2-3 feet, sun.

Summer-Autumn (June-October).

Petals not so reflexed at start of bloom.
