Day-lily
Hemerocallis fulva
This common alien, escaped from gardens and now widely naturalized, has unspotted orange blossoms on stems separate from the sword-like leaves. Blossoms last a single day and then wither (like those near top of photo) but each stalk produces many buds, which open in succession.
2-4 feet, sun or partial shade.
Summer (June-August).
Day-lily, 10 July 2020.
