Slender Fragrant Goldenrod
Euthamia tenuifolia (Euthamia caroliniana)
This species resembles Lance- leaved Goldenrod (E. graminifolia), but blooms later, is shorter, and has smaller flowering heads (each cluster in the photo at left is about 1 inch across). Florets have 6-15 rays. Leaves are very narrow, only about 1/8 inch wide or even less.
This species has recently been reclassified from Solidago to Euthamia; there is also some debate over its relationship to another species, S. remota or E. remota.
