Bullhead-Lily

Nuphar variegatum

Single flowers inside a flattened ball of bright yellow sepals are held on stems at or just above the water's surface.  Leaves are large (8-12 inches across), heart- shaped, and appear to float on the water.

Aquatic, sun - partial sun.

Spring-Summer (May-September).
