White Trout-Lily
Erythronium albidum
Named for its distinctive mottled leaves, this plant produces a pair of lance-shaped basal leaves of grey- green with brownish markings. From the base arise stems. each of which bears a six-petaled white blossom, drooping over, with bright yellow anthers.
8 inches, partial shade-shade.
Spring (April-May).
