Trailing Wild Bean

Strophostyles helvola

This plant of sandy shores has leaflets in sets of 3, the central one on a short stalk; many leaflets have three rounded, shallow lobes, otherwise leaf edges are smooth. From the main vine rise leafless stalks that bear small clusters of pink pea-like flowers (this plant is in the pea family).

Trailing vine, sun - partial sun.

Summer-Autumn (June-October).

Leaves with three rounded, shallow lobes.
