Lithospermum canescens
Clusters of bright yellow or orange flowers bloom atop stems thickly covered with narrow, alternate leaves that seem to fold along the central vein. Stems and leaves have fine white hairs, especially on the smooth margins of the leaves. The flowers, about 3/4 inch across, have five flat, smoothly rounded petals surrounding a long tubular calyx that conceals the stamens.
To 2 feet, sun - partial sun.
Spring (April-June).
Leaves are narrow and, when examined closely, have fine white hairs especially on the edges.
